What Are Linear LED Light Engines?
Linear LED light engines are high-power LED modules designed to fit into standard luminaire form factors, making it easy to upgrade or build new luminaires with state-of-the-art LED technology. Signify's latest portfolio offers efficacies exceeding 200 lm/W in certain configurations, representing a significant advance over previous generations.
Key Features of the New Signify Range
The new light engines feature several improvements over previous generations:
- Improved efficacy: Up to 210 lm/W at rated current, significantly reducing energy costs for large-scale installations.
- Enhanced colour consistency: MacAdam 2-step binning across the full lifetime of the module, guaranteeing visual uniformity across multi-luminaire installations.
- Wider CCT range: Available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5700K colour temperatures.
- R9>50 options: High-CRI variants are available for applications where colour rendering is critical, such as retail and hospitality.
- Extended lifetime: L70 lifetime rated at 100,000 hours under standard operating conditions.

Driver Compatibility
The Signify linear light engines are designed for use with constant-current LED drivers in the 500 mA to 1400 mA range. They are compatible with DALI 2, 0–10 V and PWM dimming protocols. Plus Opto also stocks a full range of compatible LED drivers, including Tridonic, Inventronics and Meanwell options.
